About
From drawing on bedroom walls, to relentlessly filling Mead spiral notebooks with reproductions of morning cartoons, it was apparent from a young age, that art would be an integral force in Isaac’s life.
At the age of six, he was placed in the Emerson OAS gifted program, allowing for studies outside of the public school curriculum to be pursued.
By fourth grade, the vivid visions of Salvador Dali’s creations from the unconscious were discovered, along with the captivating sounds of Duke Ellington and Run DMC. Awareness began to manifest, to the struggles of visionary greats and rebellious spirit’s that have come before. Curiosity with the world outside began to incorporate itself into his works. Viewing the NASA Challenger explosion live on television in the classroom, was just the beginning. From this point forward, until the end of college, all time would be devoted to perfecting the Craft.
After studying Graphic Design at Wichita State University, he moved to Los Angeles, pursuing a career in music. Within a year, the band Shuvel, which he fronted, signed with Interscope Records(2Pac, No Doubt, QOTSA, etc.). Life had changed overnight. No longer a college art student, refining skills, but a young man on the road of life. Touring the United States, Canada, Europe, with some of his favorite artist(Pantera, 311, Black Sabbath, Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus, Kittie). The next ten years would be spent creating music, art, traveling, performing, and figuring life out.
To this day, Isaac continues to create art and music independently.
In recent works, he has infused bright palettes, with somewhat serious subject matter, helping to disable barriers and present esoteric topics in an easily digestible manner.
“For me, art is the simplest means to communicate random thoughts, biased observations, emotions, insights into the unconscious, delusions, and learned ideas, using shapes, colors, and references known and yet to be discovered.”-Isaac AM
